"Marit Larsdtr [daughter of Lars and Milla] and Kristen Jonsen married in 1752. We do not know where Kristen came from. Both Bø and Hadsel's church records are missing for the time when Kristen would have been born. Another possible birthplace for Kristen is Kvæfjord, but its church records are also lost for this timeframe. Marit and Kristen also became tenant farmers in Gåsfjorden, and fared about the same as the other farmers. But they did not have many years together. In 1766, Kristen died abruptly; the church register does not specify the cause of his death. Marit had two children to support. She remarried a few years later, when she moved to Eidsfjord."
