Obituary, Argus Leader (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) 01 Sep 1944, Friday: "AGED S.F. MAN DIES THURSDAY Nicholas G. Feyder, 92, South Dakota pioneer and resident of Sioux Falls, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at his home, 901 North Spring ave., after an extended illness. He was born December 3, 1851, at Port Washington, Wis., and came to this state in 1879. He took up a homestead near Sioux Falls where he lived about ten years and since has resided at the Sioux Falls address. Survivors are: four sons, Henry N., Sioux City; A. G., Sheridan, Wyo.; E. J., Chicago; and W. W. Sioux Falls; six daughters, Frances, at home; Marie, Sioux City; Mrs. Fred Lindquist, Mrs. C. M. Carroll, Mrs. J. F. Lowell and Mrs. C. L. Bales, all of Sioux Falls. Eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife who died in 1926, two daughters and an infant son. Funeral arrangements are not complete. The Barnett funeral chapel is in charge."
