Birth. Völsch, Ludwig Heinrich Theodor. Notarized document certifying Ludwig's birth, birthplace, and names of his parents.

This document was found in the trunk that Ludwig's sister, Freda, carried with her from Germany when their family emigrated to the United States. The document was of critical importance, since it led to the discovery of where the Völsch family had lived in Germany. The writer of the brief notes written in pencil at the bottom of the document is unknown.
