Dated 7 October 1927, Edith's postcard contains genealogical information on their mutual ancestors. Edith (1884-1969) was the daughter of Joshua Bartlett Lowell (1834-1887), granddaughter of Reuben Lowell, Jr. (1802-1867) and great-granddaughter of Joshua Bartlett Lowell (1769-1821). Justina was the second wife of Carroll Charles Whitney (1873-1936). Carroll was the son of Ann Augusta Furbush Whitney (1842-1921). Ann Augusta was an older sister to Wealthy Viola Furbush Lowell.
