Heirlooms. Lowell, Alice Nelson. Norwegian silverplate flatware, ca. 1940s-1950s

Alice Nelson Lowell received this silverplate from one of her aunts in Bergen. She received a starter set of some sort and then this aunt would continue to mail her additional pieces. Several of the pieces have Alice's name engraved on the back and two pieces (a large spoon and a medium dinner fork) have the name "Jerry" engraved on the back. Pattern name is "Finse" made by K. Hestenes, Bergen, whose shop existed from 1904-1964.
