    • “Enlisted as a private in Co. C, 16th Reg’l Volunteers, and was mustered into the U.S. Service, Aug. 14, 1862. He was wounded at the battle of Fredericksburg, Dec. 13, 1862. In this battle, the regiment lost fifty percent of the number engaged, in killed, wounded, and missing. He died from the effect of his wounds, Jul 21, 1863.” [1]
