      "Alyce Lundbert, Madison
      Alyce Ann Lundberg, 80, Madison, formerly of Canova, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at Howard Good Samaritan Society Home, Howard.
      Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 at Willoughby Funeral Home, Howard. Burial will be in Canova Cemetery, Canova. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
      She was born on April 20, 1928, at Canova to Frank and Frieda (Stangohr) Seuberling.
      She attended Canova School, graduating in 1946.
      On. Jan. 25, 1947, she married Cecil Lundberg.
      They lived a majority of their married life in Canova until moving to the Madison Heritage High Apartments in 1994.
      She taught school for 41 years, beginning her career in several country schools before teaching in Unityville and completing her career in Canova, where she taught and also was principal.
      She received her bachelor's degree from Dakota State College, Madison, in 1969 and her master's in education from South Dakota State University, Brookings, in 1977.
      She was a member of Canova Congregational Church for 53 years and involved with women's fellowship and Bible study.
      She also ws a member of Red E4 Fun Red Hat Society and one of the founders of Miner County Rural Teachers Association.
      She is survived by a sister, Edith Pecks and husband Dwayne, Madison; a brother, Tom Seuberling, Litchfield Park, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, Chris; her parents, two sisters: Lola Gunderson and Janet Balster; two nephews and two nieces."
