From the Beaumont Journal, Saturday, October 27, 1934, Beaumont, Texas, Page 11:
"The marriage of Miss Elizabeth Rothwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Talbot Frederick Rothwell, and John Raymond Lowell, junior, of Colorado Springs, Colo., will be solemnized at First Methodist church, the morning of Wednesday, November 20th.
At 11 o'clock, Kenneth Rose, professor of music at Ward Belmont school in Nashville Tenn. will commence his concert of violin numbers, accompanied by Miss Nellie Howland, pianist. Mrs. J. D. Simmons will give a program of organ music to precede the ceremony.
The bride, who will be given in marriage by her father will have as her maid of honor her cousin, Miss Lou Marie Garham of Pittsburgh, Pa., and as junior bridesmaid, her sister, Virginia Mae Rothwell.
John Raymond Lowell, Sr., will attend his son as best man. Wesley Kyle, Jr., W. Elray Howard, George Sandel and Harry Garnham will be ushers.
Dr. J. Walter Mills will officiate at the ceremony."
