She was born Dec. 28, 1924 in St. Augustine and grew up in Tampa. She was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor and Perry Brown; son, Craig and brothers, Emory and Willias Stevens. She is survived by her son, Scott; grandsons, Doug and Daniel and their mother, Nancy Tapio; brothers, Alfred (Shelby) and George (Yolie) Brown; nieces, and nephews, Connie DeWitt, Doug Brown (Deb), Pam Metziere (Bruce), David Brown and Cathy Rivera and 13 grandnieces and nephews. Winnie served as a WAC in WWII and was a member of the Henderson Blvd. Church of Christ. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at 2 pm with services to follow at 3 pm, both at Blount & Curry FH, 605 S. MacDill Ave."
