“Marius Evjeberg
Marius Habgart Evjeberg, editor and publisher. In the same year, 1946, he appointed a publishing house, a target office and became a newspaper editor.
Evjeberg was born in Borge in Lofoten on 3 February 1905 and died on 13 September 1969. With a degree from Vågan Folkehøgskule 1922-23 and Bladmannaskulen in Bergen, he worked for many years as a journalist for Nordlandsposten and Sunnmørsposten.
He edited the northern Norwegian New Norwegian magazine Midnattsol 1946-63, founded Nordland County’s target office in 1946, was a board member there and established Marius Evjebergs Forlag the same year.
Between 1946 and 1961 he published 11 collections of Sketches. Evjeberg was also involved in collecting a lot of material for the village register for Borge and Valberg.”
