"Lt. Clark Judy is Killed in Action
Coleman, Wis.-Mrs. Clark Judy was informed Sunday by the War department of the death in action of her husband, 2nd Lt. Clark Judy, who was killed on Corregidor Feb. 26. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clark Judy, Sr.
A paratrooper, Lt. Judy was born July 21, 1916, at Potomac, Ill. He graduated from the Coleman High School and from the Marinette County normal. He enlisted shortly after graduation in 1940. He received his commission at Camp Hood, Tex., in May 1943, when he was serving with a tank destroyer unit. Lt. Judy married the former Lillian Furbesh after he was commissioned. He later transferred to the paratroops and trained at Fort Benning, Ga.
Besides his wife and parents, the soldier is survived by four brothers, T/5 Howard in the Philippines, Pvt. Howard who is believed to be somewhere overseas, Wilber and Carl at home, and four sisters, Mrs. Archie Behrends of Ingallston, Julia, Roberta, and Carol at home."
