Mildred Nelson Becomes Bride of Pt. Raymond Gann
"Miss Mildred Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Nelson, 1316 East Seventh St., became the bride of Pvt. Raymond E. Gann, of Miami, Okla., Saturday evening in Chapel No. 3 at the Sioux Falls Army Air Field, Chaplain John Sayre reading the wedding service.
Miss Nelson wore a white satin bridal gown made with fitted bodice, leg-o-mutton sleeves, and sweetheart decolletage. Her full length veil was held in place with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of red roses with a shower of ribbons.
Miss Sigrund Sunde of Madison, was maid of honor and Miss Alice Nelson and Mrs. Wesley Hofstad, sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids. All wore dresses made alike of satin and net, in blue, orchid and pink, respectively. Miss Sunde carried Johanna Hill roses, while the bridesmaids carried sweetpeas.
Pvt. Ford Hughes of Gettysburg, Pa., was best man. A reception followed at the bride's home after the ceremony, Pvt. Ray Guinond, of the air base, serving the wedding cake.
Pvt. and Mrs. Gann are to live at 518 South First ave.,
Mrs. Dopha Cantrell, of Miami, Okla., aunt of the bridegroom, and Martin Johnson of Dell Rapids, uncle of the bride, came for the wedding."
Retired from Pacific Bell after twenty years, in San Bruno, CA, on May 27, 1978.

“Mildred ‘Millie’ Gann Wyman
Mildred ‘Millie’ Gann Wyman, 77, of Selma died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Three Rivers Community Hospital’s Dimmick campus.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Dear Creek Cemetery with Peg Harvey-Marose, pastor, officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Oregon Affiliate, 380 S. E. Spokane St., Suite 110, Portland, OR 97202; or to the Senior Center, P.O. Box 462, Cave Junction, OR 97523; or to the Arthritis Foundation, Oregon Chapter, 442 S.W. Barbur Blvd., Portland, OR 97201.
Wyman was born May 26, 1923, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
She worked as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell. In 1978, she moved to Selma from California. On May 27, 1978, in Cave Junction, she married Henry Wyman, who survives. She served as secretary on the Deer Creek Cemetery Association board and wrote for the Selma Sass.
She was a member of Illinois Valley Community Education, the 59ers Select Market bowling league and the Senior Center of Cave Junction.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Eddie Gann of Gallatin Gateway, Mont., and Craig Gann of Forestville, Calif.; two daughters, Peggy Hoe of McAllister, Mont., and Barbara Dallas of Sheridan, Ark.: a brother, Harold Nelson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Lillian Hofstad of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.”
