“Mrs. Rudolph Miller Succombs on Sunday”
“Mrs. Rudolph Miller died at McKennon hospital in Sioux Falls on Sunday, Feb. 2nd, 1941. Mrs. Miller has been in failing health for some time and was taken much worse on Christmas night and since that time has been seriously ill at her home here.
Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Methodist church in Parker at 2 p.m. Wednesday. A complete obituary will be given next week.”

“Martha Miller Obituary (Mrs. Rudolph Miller of Parker)
“Martha Wiese was born Sept. 22, 1887 in Germany and passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 1941, at the McKennon hospital at Sioux Falls at the age of 53 years, 4 months, and 10 days.
She came to South Dakota with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wiese in 1890. On Jan. 10, 1905 she was united in marriage to Rudolph Miller of Parker. To this union three children were born, namely, Leo, Keith, and Helen Kettleson, all of Parker.
Mrs. Miller had been failing in health for some months. She was taken seriously ill on Christmas night.
Besides her husband and three children, she leaves to mourn one grandchild Betty Kittleson of Parker, one sister, Mrs. Ernest Wendt of Parker and five brothers, August of Parker, Paul of Spencer, Ed, Fred and William of Austin, Minn. Preceding her in death were her mother and father and brother, John.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 1:30 at the house and at the M. E. Church at 2 o’clock. Rev. Whitney delivered the sermon. Interment was in the family lot in Rosehill cemetery.
Pall bearers were: Dick Stout, Ed Hansen, Frank Wirtz, Harry Selby, Burt Johnson and Athol Mabee.
Out of town relatives here to attend the funeral were Mrs. Henry Kieni and children of Humboldt, Max Miller of Sioux Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Miller of Wall Lake, Mrs. Helen Lounsbury, Anna Harms and daughter all of Marion.
