”Isidore Sacks was a heavy smoker and this led to severe breathing disorders (what would now be COPD; emphysema). Since his son Sam had moved to California, it was suggested that living there would be better for his condition. Very shortly after moving in with Sam and his family, Isidore passed away. His wife, Lotta, moved back to the Bronx shortly after.”
”Note about Isidore Sacks’ year of birth: The Russian data appears to indicate that he was born in 1873 and therefore born before Samuel. However the American records (1930 Census and Calif death record) indicate his birth year as 1878, which would indicate that he was born after Samuel (1876) and only a year or less before Robert (1879).
“Laura’s family book gives the following years:
I have Isadore born 1876, died 1943 in my book. Doesn’t mean it’s accurate.
I have Samuel, 1877 to 1946.
I have Robert, 1879 to 1928.
Barnet, 1885 to 1972 (that I’m sure of)
I don’t have any dates in my book for Layzer.”«s93», «s93»
