George John Lowell Farm. Preparing fields.
Jerry Lowell sits on a large rock while his father, G. James Lowell, plows a field. Over 100 sticks of dynamite were lit during the first year of farming in order to remove large rocks imbedded in the fields. This rock is still in the process of being dynamited into smaller pieces so that they can then be removed to the stone pile.
