“Mrs. Fred Voelsch Taken Suddenly”
“Mrs. Fred H. Voelsch, 61, a Hartford resident since 1918, died last Sunday, Nov. 12, after a short illness following two years of ailing.
She was born August 4, 1883, at Sterling, Ill., and later moved to Goodland, Kans., where she spent the greater part of her younger life She was married September 10, 1919, at Hartford to Fred H. Voelsch.
Mrs. Voelsch was a member of the Royal Neighbor lodge and the Ladies Aid of Christ Lutheran church at Hartford.
Survivors are the widower, one daughter, Morna, at home; one son, Eugene, serving with the U.S. army in the European theater; and one sister, Mrs. Walter Cameron, Elam, Wash.
Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, and 2:00 at the Lutheran church in Hartford with Rev. Ernest Adams officiating. Burial was made at the West Wall Lake cemetery. The pallbearers, all nephews, were Harry and William Voelsch, Edward and Henry Lauck, and Curtis and Leonard Ideker.”
