ABOUT THE PHYSICAL BOOK

The book is hardbound with a burgundy cover and gold embossed lettering. It measures 21.5 x 30.5 x 4,3 cm (width x height x spine), or 8.66” x 12.2” x 1.77”. The book weighs 2.865 kg. (6.3 lbs.) It is not available electronically. We selected Quinta Impresión in Alicante, Spain, for printing and binding. Quinta Impresión’s dedication to quality matched our own.

CONTENTS

The book contains 17 chapters. Most chapters include three types of content: a) biographical information; b) genealogical summaries; and c) memories, including my stories and remembrances of others regarding the individuals or events covered in the chapter. Each chapter concludes with family tree charts and black and white photos. The book contains 80 Family Tree Charts and 485 photos.

BOOK COSTS AND SELLING PRICE

From the beginning of this project, I had no intention of making any profit. This effort was truly a labor of love for me. The only costs I hope to cover from the selling price are my costs for printing and packaging of the books.

SHIPPING COSTS

After extensive research, I elected to use Spain’s Correos national postal service for shipping. Books were shrink-wrapped by the printer; I will mail the books using specialty boxes designed to protect the corners of hardover books while in transit. The books will be mailed from Fuengirola, Spain. No customs duties should be assessed to you upon receipt of the book.

Shipping costs are outrageously expensive everywhere. COVID has dramatically impacted all facets of the shipping industry. Lack of availability of shipping containers, ships, and personnel aboard ship has reduced sea freight availability and reliability. This reduction has increased business usage of air freight, reducing availability of air freight capacities, thereby increasing air freight prices. Shipping costs assessed for the book are the amount of shipping I have to pay. No additional handling fees have been assessed.

I will issue an addendum, at a later date, to individuals who purchase the limited-edition book. This addendum will contain my updates and changes or corrections submitted from readers after the book’s printing. The addendum will be distributed free of charge.
