“Requiem Mass
For Mrs. LeBrun
Requiem Mass was aid for Mrs. Louis LeBrun, 92, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dell Rapids Monday, Jan. 10. Mrs. LeBrun died Jan. 8. Rosary was said Sunday in the Hermanson – Kahler Funeral Home. Burial took place in St. Mary Cemetery with Kenneth, Willard, James LeBrun, Donald Clark, Louis Wall, Ed Schneider and Jerry Alderson as pallbearers. The Rev. Howard Carroll officiated at the service.
Mary Geraets was born May 7, 1879 in the Netherlands. She came with her parents to the United States in 1882, the family settling near Alton, Ia. She was married to Louis LeBrun at that place on Jan. 10, 1899.
The couple farmed in Iowa until they moved to a farm near Dell Rapids in 1916 and spent the remainder of their married life here. Her husband died in 1953.
She is survived by five daughters and five sons. They are Mrs. Frank Anderson, LaHabra, Cal.; Mrs. John Bermel, Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Russell Olson and Mrs. Hilda Heeron, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Ted Wall, Dell Rapids; John, Henry, Ed and Sam, Dell Rapids; Ernest, Colton; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.”
