      “Hansell V. Thompson”
      “Hansell V. Thompson, 85, of Camano Island, died Sunday, March 2.

      “Mr. Thompson was born April 23, 1884, near Holton, Kansas. He came to Seattle in 1906. He became a licensed steam engineer at 19 and was a licensed marine engineer late in World War I in the United States Marine Service.

      “He married Florence Dench, a nurse, in 1920. She preceded him in death in 1957.

      “Mr. Thompson moved to Camano Island in 1921 and had lived there since. He made several trips to Alaska. He married Helen Bates in 1960.

      “Survivors include a son, Vernon, in Seattle; his wife, Helen, and a grandson.

      “No services will be held. Memorials may be made to Children’s Orthopedic Hospital in Seattle.
      “Arrangements under the direction of Bleitz Funeral Home, Seattle.”
