    • From The Lincoln County News Online (Tuesday, October 1, 2013), a reprint of an article dated 12/31/2008, “Nobleboro Cemeteries, Trask/Maddox Cemetery, compiled by Laurie McBurnie:
      “Nearby is another gravestone marked with a veteran's flag, that of another son, George D. Boardman Trask (1837-1865, 28 years old).
      “He also served during the Civil War, in the Second Maine Battery, Light Artillery and succumbed to 'war diseases' on Jan. 16, 1865 in Virginia. He left behind his widow, Mary E. (Hall) and four children between the ages of two and 10.”
