Lewis William Stangohr:
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 11, for Lewis William Stangohr, 87, who died at his home in Howard on Friday, Aug. 8.
Services for the long-time resident of Miner County and Howard were held at the Willoughby Funeral Home in this city at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Arthur Berthelson, officiating. Mrs. Olin Loe was organist, and Leland Anderson, soloist.
Burial was made in Graceland cemetery under the direction of the Willoughby Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Robert Charles, William Charles, Lilburn Pilliard, Roy Stangohr, Eber Tripp and Edward Poshusta.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Arnold, Fairfax, Va; and Gordon, Falls Church, Va; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Myers, Clinton, Md., and two stepsons, Charles A. Willey, Sioux City, and Donald A. Willey, Portland, Ore.; five brothers, Joe, Winfred; Fred, Fremont, Nebr., Ernest, Howard, Albert, Canova, and Frank, Fulton, Mo.; and six sisters, Minnie Weld, Salem, Meta Schwader, Howard, Frieda Sueberling, Canova, Alma Pecks, Madison, Vera Patro, Swedesburg, Nebr., and Ida Pamperin, Winfred.”
