Agatha Moody
“Agatha Geraldine Moody, Princeton, died Dec. 10, 1999, at the age of 103.
She was born April 21, 1896 on the family farm in Isanti County to Charlie and Grace (McKensie) Marshall. She was raised in Spencer Brook and attended District #1 Country School. She married Perlie Moody, Feb. 5, 1919, in Princeton. They farmed in Spencer Brook until retiring in 1978. Her husband died Feb. 20, 1982, and she moved to the Elim Home in Princeton in April 1995.
She was a member of Spencer Brook United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Winnifred Nichols, four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; a great-great-granddaughter; and two step great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perlie; son, Benjamin; and sisters, Leila House and Roxie Underhill.
The funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the Spencer Brook United Methodist Church with the Rev. Victoria Ashley officiating. Music was by Merle Soderberg, organist, and Kathy Walz, soloist.
Casketbearers were Bill Jr., Bill III and Brad Nichols, John Kostanshek, and Eric and Keith Moody.
Burial was at Clough Cemetery, Spencer Brook Township, Isanti County.”
