Lowell served as president of the Saco-Lowell Co., from 1960 to 1962. He served as a director of a number of other firms including the Rockland-Atlas National Bank of Boston and was a member of the advisory board of State Street Bank and Trust Co. He is survived by his wife, Leavita (Kingsbury) Lowell, and two sons, William F., Jr., and Charles F."
