"Postnuptial Party for Mrs. J. R. Lowell
Miss Ethel Feyer, 901 North Spring ave., was hostess at a post-nuptial bridge party Thursday evening at her home, honoring her sister, Mrs. J. R. Lowell, (Florence Feyder), daughter of N. G. Feyder.
Twenty-five friends were bidden in to play bridge in which game Mrs. E. J. Wagner and Miss Arlene Lindquist won the prizes.
Miss Frances Feyder assisted her sister in serving dainty refrehments.
During the evening, Delores Carroll, niece of the bride and hostess, riding a cleverly trimmed tricycle back of which was drawn a miniature cart, brought many attractive gifts to Mrs. Lowell, who now lives at 1201 North Williams ave."

"Recent Bride Honored at Evening Party
Mrs. J. P. Manley, 710 North Summit ave., and daughter Marguerite Manley jointly entertained at an vening party Monday, inviting in several friends to honor Mrs. J. R. Lowell (Florence Feyder) a bride of the month.
In an evening of cards the prize was awarded to Mrs. O. W. Budde, of Aurora, Nebr. Mrs. Lowell was presented a shower of miscellaneous articles.
A two course luncheon was served, the table being centered with sweet-peas and narcissus, while green and orchid tapers stood at either end. Green and orchid, the bride's colors, were carried out in all appointments."

“Florence A. Lowell, 96, of Avera Prince of Peace Laurel Oaks died Sunday, May 27, 2001 at her home.
Florence was born March 10, 1905 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, South Dakota to Nicholas and Sarah (Gersterwitz) Feyder. She attended school in Sioux Falls and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1924.
She married John Lowell on March 5, 1935 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, South Dakota. They lived in Sioux Falls until 1940 when they moved to the Lowell Farm west of Sioux Falls on 41st Street. They retired into Sioux Falls in 1976. Her husband died in January 1989.
Florence was a past member of the Altar Society at Christ the King and St. Mary’s Churches. She was a charter member of the Wall Lake Extension Club.
She enjoyed flowers, baking, sewing, crafts, and she loved every minute of life on the farm.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. They always enjoyed her stories and she was always part of the special events in their lives.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six sisters, and five brothers.
