- Nell "Nellie" Terrio was the biological child of Alexander Terrio and Dora Volsch. After Dora's death on 8 Dec 1908, Nell, along with her younger sister, Frieda Irene, were "adopted" by Charles Voelsch and his wife Amelia Cook and raised as Nellie Voelsch and Frieda Irene Voelsch.

The single ring service was read by Rev. F. A. Willman, pastor of the Emanuel church, only members of the immediate family being present. Mr. and Mrs. Miller are to make their home near Tea."

“Nellie Voelsch was born January 15, 1906 at Howard, Miner, South Dakota to Charles and Ameilia Voelsch. As a small child she moved with her parents to Sioux Falls.
On September 22, 1926, she was united in marriage to Clifford Miller in Sioux Falls. The couple farmed west of Sioux Falls from 1926 until Mr. Miller’s death in 1976. Nellie then moved into Sioux Falls.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Marvin Miller, Sioux Falls; 2 grandchildren, Michael Niblick, Sioux Falls and Chad Miller, Sioux Falls.”

“Nellie Miller, 82, of 112 S. Garfield Ave., died Tuesday at her home.
Nellie Voelsch was born Jan. 15, 1906 in Howard. She moved to Sioux Falls as a child.
On Sept. 22, 1926, she married Clifford Miller in Sioux Falls. They moved to a farm west of Sioux Falls, where they lived until Mr. Miller’s death in 1976. Mrs. Miller then moved into Sioux Falls.
Survivors include a son, Marvin, Sioux Falls; and two grandchildren.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John’s Lutheran Church, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Miller Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.”
