"Farmer Found Dead in Barn
Frank Knapp, 53, was found hanging in the barn of his farm between St. Paul and Champoeg, at 10 a.m. Monday. Sheriff Denver Young was called to investigate.
Knapp had been ill and despondent, Sheriff Young said he learned upon investigation. Survivors are the widow, Anna Knapp; a daughter, Elsie; brothers, Albert and Charles of Marion county; and sisters, Mrs. Emma Pierson, and Clara Knapp, Van Nuys, Calif; Mrs. Lena Johnson, Seattle; Mrs. Manda DeGrace, Warrenton, and Mrs. Minnie Seeley, Aurora."
