"Alice V. Miller, 83, of 1149 Second St. N.E., died Friday (Aug. 26, 1995) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient unit.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., with the Rev. Raymond A. Burkle of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 tonight at the funeral chapel, and after 9 a.m. Monday until time of services.
Alice Miller was born Jan. 6, 1912 in Lake Mills, the daughter of Axel and Gurena Bergdale. She married Maurice Paul Miller on June 20, 1932 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.
Alice grew up in the Lake Mills area. She worked for 40 years at Armour until retiring in 1974. She liked to cook and bake and enjoyed the company of her friends. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Gregory L. Miller and his wife, Nancy, Mason City; seven grandchildren, Kyla Bonnstetter and Saibra Miller, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Darrel Miller, Mason City, and Nathan, Jonathan, Kellie and Ryan Miller, all of Mason City; two sisters, Eleanor Curtis, Riverside, Calif., and Esther Moser, Arcadia Calif.; three brothers, Alfred Bergdale, Northwood, Gus Bergdale, Ellendale, Minn. and Marlin Bergdale, Gettysburg, Penn., many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Darrell Miller and Gary D. Miller; three sisters; and two brothers."
